Yejun was born at Seoul. He is the only child of Park family, whom most of the blood line studied in medical career path—except him. In his early age, Yejun was always being projected to become a doctor like his parents and grandparents. That was his dream until his friend started teaching him to play music.
Then, he realized he loves music.
Yejun already realized his dream since he was 12 years old but he did not have the courage to tell his parents that he wanted to learn music. He kept silent, he shut his mouth, he lied… He just wanted to be a perfect son to his parents.
Until one day… at the age of 14… he walked to his father and said, “Father, I want to go to Seoul Arts High School and learn music.”
That day changed his life.
His parents were very disappointed of his decisions. Fighting, conflicts, and anger were all over the house. As a child, he was very scared of the emotions coming from their parents. Never once his parents are mad to him! But, now?
“But, I love music, father! I can express my feelings with songs!”
“You don’t need music to express your feelings, stupid brat!!”
A lot of screaming, a lot of shouting, a lot of physical abuse were happening… His emotions were very repressed. He was so stressed, he cried nonstop, begging for mercy. Until his mother stopped his father to abuse the poor little child.
Days after days, weeks after weeks, eventually they did not stop Yejun to learn music. With one condition, Yejun are not allowed to live in their parents house anymore. By the age of 18, his parents will stop the fundings for him.
